Planning custom sticker sheets — Q&A + FAQ
Plan sheet counts, individual cuts, artwork layers, gaps and easy-peel layouts.
Can a sticker sheet contain multiple different illustrations?
Yes. A sheet can combine several separate kiss-cut graphics, provided the art is arranged for the selected sheet dimensions and production requirements. Supply a layout or layered file showing which pieces should peel individually.
Is the sheet quantity the same as the total number of individual stickers?
No. Ten sheets with six peelable designs each contain sixty individual sticker shapes, but the order quantity may still be ten sheets. Confirm whether your pricing and cart count refer to sheets or separate stickers before checkout.
Why do sticker-sheet designs need gaps between cutlines?
Each kiss-cut shape needs clearance so neighboring contours do not collide or create fragile strips of backing. Our common artwork starting point is about 0.15 inch between adjacent cuts, but the current product template is the final authority for a specific sheet.
Should every sticker on a sheet have its own cutline?
Yes, if each piece should peel away independently. Keep cut contours separate from the printed artwork and make the intended outer sheet boundary clear. A single outside cutline will not produce multiple individual peelable designs.
Can I put a full-bleed background behind stickers on the same sheet?
A printed sheet background may be possible, but it needs a clear distinction between the cuts for the removable stickers and the outside sheet trim. Ask for layout review when the sheet itself carries art, especially if a printed background crosses multiple cutlines.
How do I keep tiny sticker-sheet designs from becoming hard to peel?
Give each sticker a manageable contour with adequate room for fingers or a tool to lift the edge. Very thin projections and sharp interior notches can make handling difficult. Simplifying the outer shapes can make a small sheet much easier to use.
Is a sticker sheet the same thing as a page of fully separated die-cut stickers?
No. A sticker sheet keeps several kiss-cut faces on one liner, while separated die-cut stickers are delivered as individual pieces. Both can show the same art, but the format and handling experience are different.
What file should I send for a complicated multi-design sticker sheet?
A layered Illustrator, SVG, or PSD setup that clearly separates the artwork and cutlines is ideal. Include the intended finished sheet size and a labeled view of which pieces should peel. Flat previews help explain the layout but may not preserve editable cuts.
Can I use the same sticker-sheet design for teachers and for retail packaging?
Yes, but consider how the sheets will be handled. Classroom reward sheets benefit from quick-peel shapes and easy-to-read designs. Retail sheets may need a branded header, consistent spacing, and room for packaging or labeling. The cut format should support the intended use.
What happens if the cutlines on my sheet are too close to the edge?
The outside trim can leave a fragile border or cut into a design. Keep adequate clearance according to the live template and review the sheet preview at full size. If necessary, reduce individual sticker sizes or spread the layout over more sheets.
Can I reorder sticker sheets without converting them into loose singles?
Yes, provided you select the sheet format again and confirm the saved layout, version, quantity, and cutlines. A reorder should not rely on the old invoice alone to communicate that the designs must remain together on sheets.
