Installation
Identify the product and its removable layers before applying anything. A sticker’s release liner, a decal’s transfer carrier and a laminate are not interchangeable.
Start with your situation
| Your project or question | What to check |
|---|---|
| A single printed sticker | Remove its release liner and apply progressively to a compatible clean, dry surface. The laminate stays on a laminated print. |
| Separate letters on a carrier | Keep the letters supported as the liner is removed, apply with the approved method, then remove the carrier at the recommended low angle. |
| A wall, fabric or large project | Use its own installation instructions. Do not transfer a wet method or a solvent recommendation from another construction. |
Learn in this order
Worked example: A small dot lifts with transfer tape
Stop removing the carrier. Follow the product’s pressing and low-angle removal guidance so the element can remain on the surface. Pulling harder can lift more of the design. Check suitability and preparation if the vinyl continues to lift; stronger adhesive is not a substitute for compatibility.
A common question
Should I peel the clear top finish?
Not on a laminated sticker. Its protective top film remains with the print. A temporary transfer carrier is different and is removed according to that decal’s instructions.
